Description:

I dunno about you guys, but I’ve had a fever since I got tired of the vanilla soundtrack – and the only prescription is a badass classical music score, featuring a lot of aggressive wartime music with some serious gusto (and some peacetime songs with some moderate gusto). So I made this mod for myself, using only what I consider to be the best, most appropriate compositions for HoI4, since none of the other classical music mods really fit with the militaristic vibe of the game in my opinion. Hopefully you guys will enjoy it as much as I do.

This mod replaces the vanilla soundtrack with a much larger soundtrack featuring (among many others): Wagner, Beethoven, Stravinsky, Mussorgsky, Holst, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky and Debussy.

I set up the mod so that you will be more likely to hear composers affiliated with the major nations/ideologies you are playing, so the score should often sound quite different from playthrough to playthrough.

I did extensive research to try to find the very best available recordings of each track (often ripping from live performances by excellent conductors like Dudamel) – this is what really separates my mod from the other available classical music mods. If you have working ears, you should be able to easily tell the difference this makes (see the videos for examples).

Many of these compositions are well-known classics that you will probably be familiar with, especially if you watch a lot of films. Others are a bit less well-known, but (in my view) quite fitting for the game.

This should be compatible with any mod that doesn’t affect the in-game music. It may even be compatible with other music mods so long as they only add to (rather than replace) the vanilla soundtrack.

Doesn’t alter the checksum, so the mod is compatible with ironman and achievments.
