Description:

My take on rebalancing the naval stats. Mostly, speed, fuel consumption, some slots etc. I will write a better description and upload some pictures later after I’ve played with it some more. The goal is to take the crazy out of ships, no more zero speed BB or turbo BC. I want to keep the vanilla feeling and flavour though so keeping with probably only adjusting PDX content, using the system they have set up, not adding anything new.

Mostly module, hull and starting variant changes. Later tech is always better – a teir 2 heavy battery wont peirce a teir 2 bb armour, but a teir 3 battery will.

I decided to ditch 1939 start date support(only OOB changes). Non MTG ships might be weird, let me know if you spot anything odd. Not tested without MTG, but should be compatible.

Also please report if you find something that still seems very off! This is a work in progress! Still don’t know exactly how the AI handles the changes, but it should handle them better than vanilla.

Major update

Rebalanced armour/peircing – Armour protects against same level artillery, all batteries affected
Scharnhorst & Deutschland class downgunned to lvl 1 (Tried to change localization of lvl to to 30.5cm, but not got it right yet)
Cruiser Armour now adds surface visibility, a lot more armour and cost – intention is to move CA to use armour and CL gets a small armour from hull instead but this needs to be edited into the OOB’s so will take a few updates before all CL are "armourless". Majors are updated.
Fire control more expensive and no longer affects reliability
Added the 1 sub attack to DD hull back – caused subs to engage DD without depth charges(no way a sub would know if a DD was carrying or not – better to back off)
DD gets 1-4 armour to help them vs other older destroyers, peircing buffed in accordance
Removed fire control from DD, replaced with sonar on some 36 DD
Fixed errors in ITA starting production
