✪ This mod reorganizes AI’s choices concerning the order of national priorities, closer to their historical dates. It also slightly restructures some focus tree branches, and makes rare changes for events and decisions accordingly to these focus changes.
In the vanilla version, the AI completes dozens of national priorities not on their correct dates at all, and sometimes out of order, even though these represent crucial historical events. Dates of declarations of war or countries joining alliances, coup or important laws are the most crucial for internal politics and geopolitics coherences.
It’s pretty impossible to have a game that matches the history even if playing country without deviating from its own. Here are some examples of events have taken place in reality: the German-Turkish Treaty of Friendship was signed the 18 june 1941, Turkey joined the Allies in february 1945, Hungary joined the Axis in september 1940, Romania the 23 october 1940, Bulgaria in march 1941, Pearl Harbor event happen in december 1941, the Operation Weserübung took place before the Battle of France, the Military Training Act of the United Kingdom took place before "Home Defense", or even the First Special Service Force of USA was built in July 1942…
Then there is a solution, for historicity lovers: Historical National Focus Dates. With its changes, the mod solves several of geopolitics issues.
Remember, the mod revamp focuses between 1936 and 1945. After, the history can…deviate from what we know.
☛ It doesn’t add non-vanilla focuses.
☛ It rarely (and slightly) change effects.
☛ It doesn’t downgrade the AI’s adaptability compared to vanilla. Note if the player deviates very much from the story, the AI retains the possibility of adapting its choice of national priorities accordingly. So, this mod only makes sense for those who follow the real story concerning the main events.
☛ It sometimes changes the duration (and sometimes for vanilla balancing reasons).
☛ Some branches of national focuses trees have been slightly restructured, and only when necessary.
☛ AI’s choice of the order of many national focuses not linked to dates has necessarily been modified to allow the reorganization of those linked to historical dates.
At the moment, around 200 historical focuses are closer to their historical dates than they are in the vanilla version. There is an example of what you can expect:
All changes are detailled in the LIST OF CHANGES.
Historical sources are shown for all changes.
⚠ If you start the game in 1939, it would cause alot of unintended distorsions and anachronies.
⚠ This mod doesn’t work if historical focuses are set OFF.
⚠ Without the requiered DLC indicated into the list, it also would cause a lot of problems. Without others DLC, the mods simply brings nothing and it’s bug free.
