The Road to 56: Romania Reworked 1.8
Hi hi and welcome back to the mod, now updated to 1.8.*!
A few things, as I should explain the rather slow pace that is coming in the development of the mod. I’d like to say that I am working with the Rt56 team themselves to make Romania more fun and historical in the Rt56 mod as it stands, which won’t require my mod. However I will keep my mod up, as certain limitations within the team do keep me from doing everything. I’d also like to say that I am currently geared towards releasing a version of this mod for Vanilla Hearts of Iron IV sometime soon. I feel that I’ve put this off for far too long, and I apologise for that, as its a very simple edit to the files. I plan on releasing that soon.
Anyways, with the update that arrived just before 1.8 did, I added three new field marshals to Romania.
Ilie Şteflea, Constantin Pantazi, and Florea Ţenescu being the three new ones added. All three of these men served as chief of the Romanian Army for various time periods between 1936, and 1944. Both Ilie and Constantin have decent traits that make them somewhat worth while to use, however Florea as many people may have noticed, is rather bad. The reason for this is that Florea during his time as Chief of Staff made many poor decisions and was overall unadapted to the Eastern Front and the new kind of warfare, leading to him being sacked. I did not forget General Iosef Iacobici however, he just has no images that are realistically doable at the moment(Sorry for that). Anyways I’ve gone on long enough. I hope that you enjoy the update and are able to have a great game as Romania. Future updates are to come and once I have created the Vanilla version it will be linked here. OH, one last thing. I’d like to extent a big thanks to the Kaiserreich team, and the Road to 56 team as well for providing me with many of the portraits used in the mod. I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve only made a handful of the ones currently in use and I’m still practicing the art of portrait making. I’d like to give the most thanks to my friend Batsy however, who is a GFX god and made the portraits for Dumitrescu, Teodorini, Părăianu, Mociulschi, Ionescu, Călinescu, Mihai I, Gheorghiu-Dej, and Tătărescu(Tătărăscu). He also made all of the custom focus icons added so far, I can never repay my debt to him, and I’m glad to have met someone as nice as he is.
