China Politics Improved
Verified to work with v1.10.*
Various minor to moderate changes and fixes to the various Chinese factions for better historical context, including, but not limited to:
1 – Wang Jingwei Regime and the associated flag is now a cosmetic tag that only appears when puppeted as a collaborationist government.
2 – Actual Fascist China is now possible either via the ultranationalist Blue Shirts Society creating Nationalist China, or creating the Empire of China.
3 – Adjusted warlord flags. Feudal banners are now Fascist instead of Non-Aligned. ROC symbols are now Democratic. KMT banners are still Non-Aligned. (Previously, the game treated ROC symbols as fascist.)
4- Added a lot more nuance to Sinkiang’s political parties and scripted appropriate government changes with appropriate flags. I’m not making a political statement on current events one way or another, just added what I believe to be appropriate for the 1930-40’s political context. Research is based solely from Wikipedia.
Most of the changes are limited to :
– Cosmetic Flags
– Party leaders, political party names
– Small scale scripting on government changes.
The most liberal reinterpretation I’ve made is I believe Wang Jingwei genuinely believed it was the only path to save his people, and thus I made it possible for the collaboration governments to try to free itself by gaining independence and restoring to the original government.
When playing as the puppeted China, upon achieving indepdence the mod will allow you to automatically leaves faction, automatically ends all wars, giving you the chance to realign with your faction of choice.
Obviously, Waking of the Tiger DLC is required.
