Description

Do you understand vaguely what each doctrine is best for, but you wish to know exactly what bonuses you are going to get without having to check giant tables on the wiki? Are you looking for the best bonuses for a specific unit or strategy? This mod tries to address that.

This mod adds several unresearchable technology trees under each doctrine that summarize every bonus the various doctrine paths will give you in the end. Since they are unresearchable, the purpose of them is simply to give you an easy way to check the overall bonuses by hovering the mouse over them.

Compatibility

This mod edits /interface/countrytechtreeview.gui, therefore it will be incompatible with any other mod that does the same (so it won’t be compatible with total conversion mods such as Kaiserreich, Old World Blues, etc.). This mod is not dynamic, the "summarized doctrines" are simply new independent tech trees. This means that any changes to the values of the doctrines (be by a mod or a vanilla update) won’t be taken into account until it is updated. That won’t make the mod incompatible, but simply incorrect.

Updates

The mod is currently updated to HoI4 v1.10.4. The relevant vanilla files the mod used as reference are included in a separated folder to make it easier to check for changes in case of a major vanilla update (and if the mod doesn’t get updated).

Notes
  • The pseudo-doctrines are not normally researchable, but if they are researched like with the console command research_on_icon_click, then they will apply all their effects.
  • The overall bonuses were calculated manually. Please report any mistake.
  • I’m not a native English speaker, please report any typo or mistake, no matter how minor. Thank you.
  • Some text icons used in the tooltips are missing and will generate an error when hovering over them only in debug mode. I get these errors in vanilla too, so I don’t think they have anything to do with this mod. If you have more insight on this issue, please comment below.
