Description:

I allowed myself to reupload this mod because the author took it down for some reason. Also, I fixed a few typos in the code that had led to it not working anymore.

I do not claim ownership (but I dont know who the author is, so I cannot credit him). I just think it is a really useful mod that should remain available to the public.

Original description:

Fixes the annoying situation whereby a member of a faction drastically changes ideology without leaving said faction. With this mod the AI will now leave a faction if its ideology is diametrically opposed to that of the faction leader. Thus, there will be no more fascist USA or communist France remaining in the Allies faction waging war against their ideological brethren.

Current features:

– When a nation switches ideology it will leave its current faction if the faction leader has a different ideology
– If a nation that switches ideology was at war it will agree a white peace with nations that share their new ideology
– Puppets at a certain level of autonomy that switch government will break free from their master, and their former master will gain a wargoal against them

Latest update:

– Made it more unlikely that ideological opponents will ally with each other in the first place
– Faction leaders that switch ideology will now leave their faction
