Total Overhaul
Finally, after over a year in development, Total Overhaul finally got released!
Ever thought that playing hoi4 is getting a bit repetative? You think that the AI has gotten kinda predictable, only going down it’s focus tree?
Did you ever play EU4 and wondered why there are not many "random events" appearing in hoi4?
Well… worry no more! Total Overhaul has got you covered and the mod can do soo much more than fixing your boring games!
Over the past year the feature list of this mod has been getting pretty big, but I will do my best do summarize it for you.
Total Overhauls important features:
- An ecnomic system affecting each country
- A society-level system, ranking each country (you can also level-up over time)
- A debt system that even allows the player to interact with other countries (maybe you can get some countries dependent on you)
- Through several factors "war support" and "stability" are as dynamic as ever (slowly rising, or falling -> depending on how you are doing)
- A system that allows you to expand diplomacy with every country on the planet (AI will also use this feature)
- A system for insulting, claiming, or declaring war on a country (Beware, the AI has been taught to use this feature a well!!)
- A whole new peace system! It is now possible to lose a war without basically ending your game! Whitepeace is also an option (AI uses this mechanic)
- A WHOLE LOT of new events that can appear to every country ( Overhauling politics, economy and resistance!)
- A System for social reforms
- A parliament System reflecting support for reforms or abolishing reforms
- A class system for every state
- Decide your tax rates for your classes and decide how much to pay for your army
- Classes have a support value for the government – influencing your current ideologies popularity
- Manage several important factions in your country and try to gain the most out of them
and so on and so forth…
Say goodbye to your casual hoi4 campaigns, this mod makes every run unique and exciting!
And sometimes it also creates some interesting challenges!

THE BAR ON THE LEFT IS PART OF THE GUI, just right click a random nation and it will go away!
DO NOT use this mod with other mods, that for example add other ideologies
it will work, but other ideologies are not affected. Simply said: You limit the range of this mod
This mod works ONLY in english!
Some other mods may interfere with my mechanics, please beware that!
I cannot fix such issues, since the mod is designed to be played without any other gamechanging mods
