Description:

In what was clearly an oversight by the developers of Old World Blues the most important nation in Hearts of Iron 4 was not included, Cuba. This mod seeks to fix Old World Blues by adding the generic nation of legends, Cuba to OWB.

V4 UPDATE:
Updated to work with OWB 5.0: Added supply related buildings to the first focus effect so I don’t have to update every time the supply system is changed. Added a few slight buffs to the robots, again, since they seemed to get another round of nerfs. Added end game focuses for the Carlists/Castro to interact with Miami. Also added several countries to southern Florida. Miami is the only one with a proper focus tree in the region.

V3 UPDATE:
Updated to work with OWB 4.0: some equipment names needed to changed, the extra state that was added to make the enclave less oplsnerf was removed because I don’t want to have to update every time a state is added. Also attempted to re balance the sides a bit due to the pretty big changes that were made to OWB equipment stats. Robots are WAY weaker now and power armor is even more opplsnerf due to the massive nerfs that robots received and the slight buffs that infantry equipment received in the base OWB.

A few more units were added to the robot nation and the carlists as well as reduced the amount of time that the pre civil war focuses take. Also added post civil war “crisis” type focuses. There focuses lead to a second civil war for the robots/enclave and a ♥♥♥♥ economy for the other factions. These second civil wars are where Castro and the Brotherhood come in at. I’ve tried to balance these around the attackers rushing by giving the defenders an attack malice for a short amount of time. Castro one isn’t too hard but the Brotherhood one is a bit tougher.

V2 UPDATE:
This is a sizable update over the original version of the mod. The focus tree was completely changed to be less like the base game generic focus tree and to be more like the Spanish focus tree or the hang dog focus tree. The biggest difference is that now instead of just picking a focus path to become democratic, generic, enclave, or robots a civil war is fired off. Which can further devolve into a four or even five way civil war depending on how long it lasts.

I’ve tried to balance each side in a way that they should all be winnable. Some sides are more difficult than others but I’ve been able to win with each one. No ai only tests this time. Not this time. OWB runs way too slow now.

Notes:
If you want to go Enclave or Carlists side with the generics in the initial civil war (either side can cause the carlist uprising, but the generics start with the state where it happens)
If you want to go Robots side with the democratics in the initial civil war

If you want to go Castro side with the democratics and then the Robots and win the civil war
If you want to go Brotherhood side with the generics and then the Enclave and win the civil war
Produce AT if you aren’t going robots or enclave

Miami is currently the only country with a proper focus tree in South Florida. It also has focuses that auto annex a few of its neighbors, so I’d suggest not picking those.

Known Issues:
Sometimes when switching sides in the civil war you won’t be able to assign units to a general. Saving and reloading or waiting a tic before switching seemed to fix it.

Features:
0 new provinces
0 new state for NOT NEEDING TO UPDATE CONSTANTLY
Several new nations (Cuba, Southern Florida)
2 new focus trees (Cuba, Miami)
7 "unique" paths to lead Cuba down
2 "unique" paths to lead Miami down
2 "unique" voice sets for the robots and enclave
2 "unique" general portrait sets for the robots and enclave

Any suggestions feel free to let me know.
