Generic National Focus Tree Overhaul
This mod reworks the generic national focus tree, providing a wider variety of options while maintaining a vanilla+ gameplay experience.
- A rearranged army focus branch provides a wider variety of bonuses, including earlier armor bonuses and research bonuses for radio technologies and supporting combat arms.
- The advanced tier of focuses in the expanded naval branch have access limited based on a country’s number of dockyards, with the threshold dynamically increasing as more naval focuses are completed. Choose your naval bonuses wisely!
- A fully overhauled political branch features distinct communist, democratic/non-aligned, and fascist/non-aligned paths with several focuses available to multiple paths. New focuses not only shape the ideological outlook of a country, but also dynamically change the country’s laws depending on its current policies.
- Generic ideology change decisions have been tied into the generic focus tree to create a smoother experience when changing your country’s governing ideology.
- AI instructions ensure countries using the generic focus tree will make generally reasonable and historically authentic choices, especially when historical focuses are turned on. For example, although any non-aligned country has the option to easily become fascist, only specific countries will normally do this.
This mod is not compatible with any other mod that makes changes to the vanilla focus tree or generic political decisions, and it is likely to be incompatible with mods that make changes to localization files for vanilla focuses generally.
This mod is designed to function with or without any particular DLC.
