Today marks the 70th year since the outbreak of the Republican Revolutions.
The Continental System created by Emperor Napoleon weathered the storm, battered but victorious. However, those dissatisfied with the emerging world order have already licked their wounds caused by the defeats of the past. Radical revolutionaries and nationalist revanchists, religious leaders and authoritarian dictators, elected presidents and legitimate monarchs — they play their game, but one thing is clear to everyone: in the near future the Continental System will be tested for strength once again.

You may have some questions about the mod and our team, so we’ve created a Q&A section to give you a quick introduction to the project!
- There are many differences from Après Moi Le Déluge. The lore of the universe was reworked and expanded, the gameplay was modernized, and the graphic and music components were updated. Also note that the original mod is no longer supported by its creator and is effectively abandoned.
- The plot is that the French Empire, having survived the Napoleonic Wars and won the First World War, is basking in luxury and carefreeness, reaping the benefits of its continental blockade. It is opposed by Poland, a former puppet of France and also the losing power of the Great War; Germany is torn by civil war between communists, nationalists and imperial loyalists; Russia is about to retake eastern territories that are under the control of radical rebels; Britain is reforming its political system while the Commonwealth is on the brink of collapse; Japan is preparing to continue its expansion in the Pacific region, with its main target being China, where it can take advantage of the smoldering Taiping Rebellion there.
- The original mod had many fictional figures that did not fit the Second World War period. We’re replacing them with real characters that fit the era, and we’re ditching the concept of generic focuses in favor of completely unique trees. We are also working on other things such as events, characters, decisions, concerns, advisors, etc.
- We have an expanded window for assigning advisors, as well as an increased number of these same advisors that can be assigned, which is a legacy of the original mod. In general, the mod is completely focused on the vanilla style of play.
- Our team does not have a roadmap, but the first priority is to rework the main countries of our universe. Since this mod appeared with an update to French content, which is being developed by one person and which no longer looks relevant, it is most likely that our team will focus on France in the future.
We will be very glad if any of you let us know about any other problems, be they bugs or just shortcomings. If you want to use the mod’s resources, there is no need to ask permission. We would be grateful if you could credit our team as the authors of this or that material, because Après Nous Le Déluge is the collective intellectual property of the people who worked on it.
