Have you ever wondered why there is an election day in Hearts of Iron IV when nothing happened?

With "Election Day" you have an election going on. You can choose which party will win the election. And there may be some events that occur during the leadership position.

"Election Day" is not only about democratic leader elections. But every ideology can also choose a leader. (If I can find information)

The elections will last until 2022
