Description:

Update: As of the Man the Guns DLC, this mod is discontinued. Paradox has added the option to prevent new guarantees as a base function when starting a new game — you don’t need the DLC to use it.

The other parts of the mod that remove specific guarantees (such as the USA on South America), are currently out of date with the changes made by the DLC, and conflict with many other mods. These will need to be completely reworked to be feasible, and it’s something I don’t intend to do at this time. Thank you for your support over the last couple of years, and I hope this was able to make your game experience a bit better during the time it was functional!

—- What does this mod do?

Removes guarantees from the 1936 start, and prevents new guarantees from happening. Compatible with 1.3.3.

—- How?

1) Sets the base cost of new guarantees to 5000 political power. The core of the mod.

2) Removes The Monroe Doctrine from the USA. South America will be free!

3) Disables Pax Americana in the US Focus Tree. Even without The Monroe Doctrine, Pax Americana lets the US interevne in South American affairs. South America will remain free!

4) Removes Italy’s starting guarantee from Albania

—- Why This One?

It should work and be relatively clean/compatible! The 5000 political power cost will stick even without updates unless Paradox drastically overhauls the guarantee system. However, the mod will conflict with other mods that modify the starting history files for the USA or Italy.

—- Oh God It’s Broken

Whoops! Let me know in the comments and I’ll take a look.
