REAL Weapons Market Prices [MD]
Submod for Millennium Dawn.

I SAID READ THIS!
LOOK HERE!
This mod MIGHT work as is.
If it doesn’t, you need to subscribe, download the mod, start the launcher, add the mod to the modlist,
THEN! IMPORTANT! WON’T WORK OTHERWISE!..
you need to click the three dots on the right side of the mod, beneath the Enabled/Disabled button, and click "Show in folder".
Go into /common/scripted_guis and COPY the EP_scripted_gui.txt file. It should be the only file there.
Go back to the launcher and click "Show in folder" on the Millennium Dawn mod as well.
In the folder for the Millenium Dawn, go to /common/scripted_guis and paste the file there. Click "Replace". Maybe make a backup, if you’d like.
Now it’ll work. If there’s weirdness with Small Arms prices (i.e. they’re at 0.75 for the first entry), then make sure to click the Aircraft tab for the same country and then back out to the Infrantry Equipment tab. As long as you don’t click away to other infantry tabs, the prices will remain low.
You don’t need to keep my mod enabled as you’ve literally edited Millennium Dawn’s files.
BE AWARE! If Millennium Dawn updates, the changes will most likely reverse and you will need to do the same copy/paste thing again.
Why doesn’t the mod just work? I don’t know. I don’t code. It just doesn’t work without all this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ finagling and I wish it did.
I’m a dyslexic, dyscalculic consumer who spent way too much time trying to make something nice for myself and others in a game I enjoy playing from time to time. With that said, I won’t do anything other that a simple price edit.
Now, for the rest:
An edited version of Ebcott’s "[MD] Realistic Weapons Market Prices" mod that uses Ebcott’s unit price research and calculations, and chops off his "multiply by 100" part. Example: 10 good tanks no longer cost 10 Billion USD, but rather 100 Million USD. See Ebcott’s chart for further information.
I’ve edited contract fulfillment timings as well:
Guns and Support equipment – 15 days; UPD 30 days.
Anti-Tank and Anti-Air systems – 60 days;
Tanks – 120 days;
Infantry Fighting Vehicles – 90 days;
Armored Personnel Carriers – 60 days;
Utility Vehicles – 15 days; UPD 60 days.
Artillery platforms – 60 days;
Helicopter aircraft – 60 days;
Air Superiority aircraft – 90 days;
Multi-Role aircraft – 90 days;
Light Strike aircraft – 90 days;
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles – 60 days;
Bomber aircraft – 120 days;
Transport aircraft – 90 days;
Close Air Support aircraft – 90 days.
I believe that players will find the ability to procure arms without bankrupting themselves and going into crippling debt a refreshing change as well as an opportunity to try out Minor nations, while making sure that they don’t just buy themselves a massive military overnight.
All credits go to respective modders. I simply spent two days painstakingly editing all the teeny-tiny numbers and troubleshooting the weird "Army" and "Aircraft" = "Guns" and "Helicopters" button thing (Ebcott will get it) since I have no idea how to code and my dyscalculia is of no help.
15.04.2023 update – Since Utility section includes MLRS which come in packs of 10 units, I’ve decided to change the contract fulfillment timer from 15 days to 60 days. Utility trucks now come in packs of 100 and their cost has been changed appropriately. Guns and Support Eq. now takes 30 days as well.
I SAID READ THE TOP!
