Confederatereich Chronicles: A New World Order

Legacy of the Twin Victories Lore:
On April 24, 1863, when news reached the United Kingdom and France that the Confederate States were planning to enter the city of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, they used this as an opportunity to gain those cotton exports that they desperately needed, due to their reliance on said crop. They, however, do not like the ideas and beliefs of the Confederate States due to their stance on slavery. Not too long ago, the empires of Britain and France had abolished it due to it dying off and not being necessary for their economies. The Confederate States, however, rely on the labor of African slaves to be able to produce their crops and see them as not a person at all.
However, the United Kingdom and France are still building relations with the United States and trying to eventually become their ally in the process. They, however, do the unthinkable and join the side of the Confederate States as it’s to only gain the cotton they desperately need, otherwise the Confederates would just lose and the United States. So, in August of 1863, they held the London Conference in London to determine the fate of the United States of America after the end of the American Civil War.
During the conference, many things are discussed like a possible split up of the nation but these ideas are immediately shot down by both France and the United Kingdom as they need a United States to actually negotiate with. The United Kingdom suggests a plan which would basically give the British occupational control over New York and New England, a condominium per say, for about 40 years. This means that full control of these territories were to be returned back in 1905. After all the delegates agree on the terms, they return to fighting and begin pushing to defeat the United States.
After many casualties on both sides, the Battle of Gettysburg is a resounding victory for the Confederates and their allies. They defeat Grant and his troops at the battlefield and he and Lincoln are humiliated at one of the biggest battles of the war. As the war continued, the United States continued to lose many battles and eventually, Longstreet’s March to Potomac happens in late 1864 which is the blow that leads to a Confederate victory in the American Civil War. During all of this, the Treaty of New York was signed in April of 1865 which officially ended the war. This means Great Britain gets the condominium discussed in the conference and all slaves can only be free in the United States, not the Confederate States, meaning that the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 becomes null and void.
After the war, two Confederate supporters from Kentucky and Maryland, John Wilkes Booth and John C. Breckinridge, set out to assassinate both Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson. John Breckinridge stands outside of Andrew Johnson’s house while he’s relaxing inside and shoots Andrew Johnson in the back, which the bullet lands in his heart, slowly leading to his death. The police hear the gunshot and John runs away in a hurry, leaving the gun on Johnson’s property. Lincoln is assassinated at Ford’s Theatre by John Wilkes Booth, and he slowly dies after the show is over. The nation mourns the death of the president and vice president, leading to the eventual presidency of then Secretary of State, William H. Seward. The main reason for the assassinations was the two men involved, dissatisfied with the Confederates not gaining control over Maryland, Delaware, Kentucky, Missouri, West Virginia, Kansas, and the District of Columbia.
In 1867, William H. Seward got permission from Congress to purchase Alaska, Greenland, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands for a large sum of money from both the Russian Empire and the Kingdom of Denmark respectively. This was done in large part due to the United States wanting to combat the dominance that the Confederates are starting to create their own little sphere of influence they govern with African slaves as their workers. During all of that, the Confederate States are able to gain mostly what is known as the Golden Circle concept, a plan conceived by the Knights of the Golden Circle to achieve a circle of dominance for the South and keep the North from always dominating their politics. This is also around the time the Klu Klux Klan, a racist organization known for terrorizing Blacks and Catholics, becomes a political faction eyeing for total white supremacy.
The Klu Klux Klan contains many different people and other prominent leaders, but one such man, Woodrow Wilson, is going to rise up the ranks to become the eventual leader of the Klu Klux Klan faction. They are considered the rivals of the main faction, the States’ Rights faction, a faction who wants segregation and the ability to vote for Blacks and Catholics, but not the ability to have full equality.
Since the populace was a bit worried of the United States adding more humiliation, Grant declined the presidency and instead gave it to Schuyler Colfax.
Everything mostly goes as normal, around the world. There’s the Franco-Prussian War, the unifications of Germany and Italy, the Scramble for Africa, the War in Paraguay, and the Westernization of China. Nothing much really happens for almost 20 years except some other conflicts around the world that aren’t as important to the American nations.
When the U.S.S. Maine sinks off the coast of Boston, they blame the sinkage on the Kingdom of Spain in 1898, the Spanish American War begins. This is also the same time that the United States annexes the Kingdom of Hawaii. After two years of long fighting, the United States is granted the territories of the Philippines and Guam. There is no Philippine-American War, due to the two groups being able to work out a way for the Philippines to be incorporated into the United States. This means that the many deaths that occurred never do.
In 1905, the British returned the condominium back to the United States as part of the treaty, however, Canada kept the claim over those said American states even though the agreement originally stated Canada can’t claim the territory.
However, in 1912, an ultranationalist revolution happens in the Confederate States, and Woodrow Wilson takes power and declares himself as the Emperor of the Confederacy, Mexico, Central America, Colombia, and the Klu Klux Klan. He begins ordering the construction of concentration camps so that mass exterminations of Blacks and Catholics can occur there. These mass exterminations are what are referred to as the Holocaust. Also during this time, many places that were primarily Catholic got converted to Protestantism, which means Mexico, Central America, and Colombia are now Protestant. Due to this, over 60 million Blacks, Catholics, Creoles, and equality supporters are mass murdered in gas chambers. There are also secret police who check everyone’s houses to see if you’re hiding any of those groups. If you were caught, you’d be possibly imprisoned or executed. Only 50 people were reported to have been secretly hiding people, the others never got caught.
