1944 – Downfall
By the start of 1944, the Axis Powers are on the defensive with the war having turned decisively against them. The word Endsieg is becoming more prevelent in their propaganda to boost morale and maintain the belief that victory is still possible.
It wont stop the Allies who are now advancing on multiple fronts, intensifying strategic bombing, and making preparations for the liberation of Western Europe.
At the start of 1944, Japan is facing a challenging war situation in the Pacific and Asia
with the Allies making significant progress against Japanese forces through a series of island-hopping campaigns..
In China, Japanese forces has occupied much of the coastal areas and major cities, while the Chinese Nationalist government has retreated to the interior.
