Description:
Preserving the original style, enriched and optimized the underdeveloped Chinese national spirits and policies, making the system more suitable for new players.

88th Anniversary of the July 7th Incident: Paying Tribute to the Martyrs

Main updates in the new version:

Territory:

1. Refined the original provinces, added 30 new provinces, increasing the pressure for Japan to suppress resistance in behind-enemy-lines warfare while also enhancing the potential of Chinese regions in the late game with more building slots.
2. Based on the 1930s railway distribution, the railway lines and city locations have been largely restored.
3. Tibet’s cores! Corrections and cores for the Aksai Chin region, and adjustments to South Tibet—not a single inch of Chinese territory is to be missing!
4. Claims and cores for Outer Mongolia, Outer Northeast China, and South Tibet can be obtained through national focuses.
5. If the "Pacification of Tibet" national focus is accepted, it will result in the reunification of Tibet rather than making it a puppet state. If AI Tibet refuses, it will provide a war justification.

Other:

1. Overhauled shared national focuses, splitting them into exclusive diplomatic focuses for the CCP and the Republic of China.
(1) Shared focuses are now focused on building China, retaining air force and navy development, and renegotiating unequal treaties.
(2) Diplomatic focuses will include more直观 positive effects compared to the original version.
(3) Some originally ineffective focuses have been reworked and fixed to keep up with the current version (I’m fixing Paradox’s bugs).
(4) Renegotiating unequal treaties no longer requires extensive diplomatic focuses but instead depends on industrial capacity.
2. The "One China Policy" can forcibly exit the United Front and grant the "Unification War" national spirit, preventing alignment with other factions until unification is achieved (this prevents Chiang Kai-shek from joining the Allies in an annoying manner).
3. Chinese army voiceovers will be more distributed to the CCP and warlords.
4. Increased resources in Chinese regions, but their effectiveness is limited by corruption-related national spirits. This design enhances the potential of Chinese regions.
5. Adjusted original focus icons to make them and national spirit icons more aesthetically pleasing.
6. Modified AI aggression tendencies.

CCP:

1. Added a "People’s War" focus series for the CCP with multifaceted bonuses.
2. Reduced the weapon cost for behind-enemy-lines resistance decisions while increasing the cost and time for the Republic of China to counter them.
3. Adjusted national spirits:
"Mao Zedong Thought," "Socialist Market Economy"; "Mobile Warfare" and "Protracted War" are no longer mutually exclusive; modifications to "Legacy of the Long March," "Power Struggles," and "Low Public Support," among others.
4. Added many new national spirits and historical route focuses:
"Equipment Capture," "Central Political Security Bureau," "Chinese Academy of Sciences," "Literacy Campaign," "Planned Economy," "Supporting Leftist Factions," "Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army," "People’s Liberation Army," "Increase Revenue and Reduce Expenditure," "Military Expansion Plan," "Three-Three System."
5. Adjusted the structure of the focus tree and reduced the duration of some low-reward focuses.
6. Adjustments to manpower: conscription laws changed to "Conscription Propaganda." Manpower in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia region will be less exaggerated than in the original version, but focuses can gradually address manpower shortages.
7. Improved the focus and flags for the establishment of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region Government. After the "Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region Government" focus, players can gain the "Lüliang" and "Qingyang" regions to expand the base area.

Republic of China:

1. Reworked the National Revolutionary Army reform process. It no longer requires extensive experience but instead relies on focuses to progress step by step, similar to the Soviet army reform design. The Republic of China’s army is stronger than in the original version but suffers from significant supply penalties due to corruption, making supply management more critical in gameplay.
2. Adjusted national spirits:
"Nine-Power Treaty," "Military Corruption," "Inefficient Bureaucracy," "Incompetent Officer Corps."
3. Added national spirits:
"Corrupt Bureaucracy," "National Revolutionary Army," "Feudal Mentality," "Examination Yuan," "Bureau of Investigation and Statistics of the Military Affairs Commission (Military Statistics Bureau)," "Social Security."
4. Adjusted the structure of the focus tree and reduced the duration of some focuses (the 70-day focus granting 25 army experience is no longer present).
5. Enriched the Three Principles of the People route: corrupt bureaucracy can be gradually eliminated through the Principle of Democracy, feudal mentality through the Principle of Livelihood, and nationalism can unlock focuses for overseas Chinese aid in the War of Resistance.
6. Added characteristics related to Chiang Kai-shek, enhancing his administrative capabilities while weakening his military abilities. Testing shows a balanced frontline against Japan: in most cases, the frontline stabilizes around Changsha by 1940, with localized counteroffensions beginning after 1943.

Yunnan Clique:

1. Created a unique focus tree for Yunnan, allowing the Yunnan Clique to pursue an alternate history path as the National Protection Army.
2. Yunnan has many new national spirits.
3. Yunnan will feature a grain balance system, reflecting the food supply issues faced by Yunnan as a rear line during WWII.

Other Warlords:

1. Simply reworked the generic warlord focus tree.
2. Added characteristics for different warlords, improving their construction capabilities and defensive abilities. For example, Yan Xishan in the east has core defense bonuses, while the Three Ma Cliques in the west possess strong cavalry capabilities.

Puppet Governments:

1. Minor modifications to the Manchukuo focus tree.
2. Manchukuo will gain the "Puppet Army" national spirit in the obedience path, and adjustments were made to the "Kwantung Army Constraints" national spirit.

Japan:

1. Adjusted some of Japan’s national spirits.
2. Japan will trigger the Marco Polo Bridge Incident around July 7 and declare war on the Philippines and the United States in early December 1941, rather than in July.
3. Modified the "Inter-Service Rivalry" national spirit, so that limited resource favoritism between the navy and army will mutually affect each other.
4. Removed some mutually exclusive focuses in Japan’s military tree.
