The way that i have the files set up makes it so, even if the devs overhaul the entire game the ai will still be really good

Compared to vanilla this AI will have huge economies and unlike mods like expert AI this one is adaptable and compatible.
They will start off building civs then at the right time transition into building mills. No more mixed construction where it will build civs one month and mils the next.
After a bit of testing and comparing i found in most cases it was equal if not better to expert AI, along with matching or even surpassing youtubers like Bitt3rSteel FeedBackGaming Alex The Rambler!
The AI is very tank heavy, for most of the game they will have around half of their factories on making tanks, So in 39 expect germany to have around 10 medium tank divisions. But its like giving a gun to a child, they will miss and not know how to use it, though in this case its a 200 IQ child… but still a child
AI will have a good chunk of their factories on planes throughout the game, but the planes are very good and also very expensive. 100 of these planes will easily kill 1000 vanilla AI planes.
So numbers might be the same if not smaller then vanilla, but the effectiveness will be way higher. I expect most players to lose the air war tbh. And yes the designs are better then expert AI and all the other AI mods, and prolly most players too if im being honest
AI will research sort of like a meta player, im not touching the tech files themselfs so im limited in what i can do. They are 100% better then vanilla, but im not so sure against expert ai, but this mod is 100% compatible with any mods that change tech unlike expert ai, so im counting it as win
AI build good ships and they use them MUCH better then vanilla ai. The average hoi player should regularly lose against the naval ai
Ai is just generally more smart about using the international market, i havent really touched on it too much yet so its just a slight improvement from vanilla
I talked about the ai not really knowing how to use its tanks earlier, but they will use them better then vanilla. The AIFC is improved from vanilla, along with the battleplans the ai uses, you should see them grind less on fronts they cant beat.
But making ai micro good is like trying to calm the ocean… it wont happen
Ive put a custom script in so irrelevant countries wont ♥♥♥♥ out units unless they need to, so it mimics what IRL countries do while at peace (Sell boat loads of stuff on the market) But i reccomend always using this mod BMOptimization
In making the ai better they picked up some interesting traits.
- Japan will likley never win in china
- Germany might get stuck on poland and the benlux (This used to be a constant issue but i did alot of custom improvements to the german ai, so it happens less now}
- UK not defending north africa well
- Sometimes the ai gets confused and doesnt build mils till like late 39
- AI is an enjoyer of western budgeting (They will run a deficit of guns and all that most of the time). This ties into the ai micro, they like attacking things they cant break, so they end up spending lots of guns, they also train alot of units at once so while it may seem like they have a deficit, really its just in the training divs. Ive made sure the impact on their armies isnt noticeable
- Germany doing well against soviets is not guaranteed! The allies put up an amazing fight that even my friends with thousands of hours struggle to beat france before 41-42.
Almost every mod should be compatible, most of the issues i faced when making this were trying to make things as compatible as possible with most mods. But AI mods dont work and will never work with this. And for mods like KR, MD, R56, i have no clue, R56 should work flawlessly, same with KR i think. But mods like MD rework alot of tech, so ai will search for "medium_tank_chassis" but MD prolly changed it to something "tank_chassis" so it wont work, and there will be no tanks.
Let me know when a mod doesnt work, if it has over 1k subs and its updated to the latest hoi4 version ill try and get it working, or make a separate patch for it. Or if you have any ideas on how something could be improved lemme know (most wont be done because of compatibility)
The Ai has no built in cheats, and will never get any cheats
I recommend turning the "P Mode" gamerule to "Normal Ai". It was originally supposed to be off by default, but when i improved the ai micro, the allies were able to easily push Germany back. So in order to not derail players games i put it on default
Modders there is text file in the mod folder called "For Modders" which will explain how to make Smarter AI compatible with your mod
I copied alot of Amines AI mods defines for the ai. So big thanks to him (No his ai mods are not compatible with this, they will just mess alot of ♥♥♥♥ up, we have two very different approaches to ai modding)
