In 1936, the United States is recovering its nation after the Wall Street Crash of 1929 severely weakened its economy. Franklin Delano Roosevelt sits as the nation’s president, being elected by a landslide in 1932 with the promise of his ‘New Deal’ to fix the Great Depression. It was one of the victors of the Great War, but gained little. The nation seeks to sit out the next, with many hoping to not see their boys die in another pointless war. While politics seem stable, the rise of the Isolationist movement could trigger an upset in the system or could even cause a second civil war, leading to a violent shift in government.
No matter the case, the United States of America will likely see itself dragged into another global conflict within the next decade. Will liberty triumph as it always has, or will America have to shift to stay on top? The choice is yours.

REALISTIC STATES
Now all actual US states are represented in the game, as New England has been split up as well as Maryland. Even the District of Columbia is represented, even though it isn’t a real state.

NEW POLITICS SYSTEM
Elections now have a whole decision tab dedicated to them, deciding the popularity of the Republican and Democratic Parties, and in turn, the winner of the next election. You can now also have presidential primaries for each party, offering even more candidates for the White House. In addition, elections now go up till 1952, for those late games that set your CPU on fire.

NEW HISTORICAL CONTENT
New focuses for operations during the war, and postwar content focusing on crushing the Soviet Menace, or implementing the historical Cold War.

NEW ECONOMY TREE
Now more policies can be selected if you decide to rid of the Great Depression and side with the New Deal, or seek to oppose it and return to more fiscally conservative policies. You can also develop regions, and create the Interstate Highway System if you choose.

NEW HISTORICAL CONTENT

AMERICA FIRST!
The country cannot be fighting wars for European Powers! We must restore greatness to America and return to American interests! Charles Lindbergh will be our great president!

MACARTHUR’S REGIME
The nation is in deep trouble, and in need for a hero. General Douglas MacArthur has offered to take direct control for the country, and return to it stability… or so the nation thought. Exercising War Powers, MacArthur can bring American domination over the Americas or be unseated from leadership and replaced by Dwight Eisenhower or even fascists!

THE HOUSE HAS DIVIDED… AGAIN?
American politics have reached a point of no return. The nation has divided itself into yet another civil war, this time between Progressives and the Federal Government. Depending on who wins, you can go down the following paths…

THE GILDED AGE IS BACK
Implement corporatism and bring either the Disney, Coca-Cola, or Ford companies into power, ensuring the company’s control over the world!

I WISH I WAS IN DIXIE
The legacy of the Confederate States cannot be forgotten, we must bring them back, and their hegemony! Possibility to establish the Golden Circle, ensuring domination over North America.

REJECT THE REPUBLIC
The American system was clearly a failure. We must return to old ways of a monarchy, and instead of being oppressed, become the oppressors! Our empire will spread across the world!

DON’T TREAD ON ME
What a failure it was to even consider a monarchy! We will implement true freedom, bringing Libertarianism to America, and the world!

A NEW PROGRESSIVE ERA
The authoritarian government created by the nation-wide crisis has ignored the people. We will right this wrong, and bring forth a new Progressive Era!

THE RED NIGHTMARE
How has capitalism even been allowed in this great nation? The people are suffering, we must bring forth a socialist system and spread the revolution worldwide!

Good news! I have resumed development for this mod and will update it until the USA gets a rework from Paradox! Bug reports are encouraged too.

Is this Rt56 Compatible/Can you make this Rt56 compatible?
It is not, and I have no plans to. If you want to make a version that is, be my guest.

Is this ironman/althistory compatible?
As for ironman, no. But althistory should work, just don’t expect it to work perfectly.

How to get civil war?
Get over 35% third party support, then you can get the gridlocked election. Don’t accept MacArthur’s plan. There’s a path guide in game, you can view all paths there.

Can you please add x path?
If it is even remotely possible at the time I will consider it (so basically same level of craziness as some of the base HOI4 paths like the Chilean ones or the German naval coup) but if the path is a little too crazy for the time period, it will not be considered. However, I encourage submods if you wish to add a path that you want.
Oh yeah also now I’m kinda done adding new content to this mod (sorry) and will only update it for compatibility until an actual USA Rework releases, so void whatever has been said previous (but I still encourage submods).

Can you please make a version of this mod with/without x?
No, I am not making any other alternate versions of this mod. But if you want to make one yourself, you are welcome to.

Does this work with x mod?
I can’t confirm. But if it changes the map or something like that, it absolutely will not work. Also, please don’t submit bug reports if you are running this with other mods.

Can I make a submod / use this in my mod?
Be my guest. Just please, credit this.

Does it really need Man the Guns?
More than likely yes. I have not tested the mod without, but if you do try some portraits may not work and some focuses may not work correctly either.
