LORE:

As the march of time walks on, the monarchies find themselves at the brink of annihilation. They have barely held on throughout an industrial revolution and various attempted revolts. Every ancient institution is at great risk of upheaval. Throughout the 4900s, Pyrrhia has narrowly avoided a continent-wide war, especially recently in the 4975 Strip War and the 4988 Boreal War.

Kingdom of Sand:

Following a century and half of decline, many of the formerly integrated duchies have become fully independent. In 4988, it was unable to stop a hardline republican and anti-monarchist revolution in the north, even alongside the Ice Kingdom and the Duchy of Possibility. It stands as a wasteland of poor industry, low legitimacy, and is only held together by Queen Oasis, one of, if not the, most skilled queens in the history of Pyrrhia

Kingdom of the Sea:

The Kingdom of the Sea is in a state of economic power. The navy is at a level of power never before seen and the economy is at a peak. This veneer does not go deep however. The weak parliament set in place to calm the liberal movements fails to provide any real progress and the queen still has essentially unchecked power. As dissent grows and the economy tilts close to fall over a precipice, who knows how it will go.

Sky Kingdom:

Following a decisive defeat at the hands of the Grand Duchy of Serifan 25 years ago in the Strip War, the pride of the Skywings is at low, and resentment is high. The purges and consolidation of Queen Scarlet have angered the church and centrist elements. Her grip is like a vice, but even the strongest machine can break to popular strain.

Mud Kingdom:

The Mud Kingdom has laid low and silent for years upon, and shows no sign of change. A hands-off government and autonomy in southern regions has lead to nigh constant slow and stable growth. The city of Telegraph grows however, and is looking to one day rival the palace. Time can only tell if the forest trail the Kingdom has been walking will end soon.

Ice Kingdom:

The Ice Kingdom stands as an invincible centralised state. The Great Ice Cliff now covers the full length of the southern border after the loss of the southern territories in the Boreal War. In the immortal words of Queen Tundra I, "We do not fall, we do not bend, we do not break."
