OWB: The Centennial Bear
As a resident of the greatest state in the Union, I was very excited to be able to properly LARP rebuilding my home!
However, while the Baggers tree is amazing, there were some changes I wanted to make to enhance my own play. This evolved into an entire rework/expansion mod that you have before you now.
Current features:
-Adds a decision to create your own Faction (Boulder Accord) after finishing either Emancipating or Pacifying the Colorado Frontier
-Reworks the focus Join the Republic Together to add Black Canyon to your faction and not require neighboring the NCR
-Removes mutual exclusivity for the three Operations, allowing the player to both conquer the Iron Alliance and ally Black Canyon (starting one of the two paths will still lock the center path to continue the tree until at least one is completed)
-Adds a decision to puppet Black Canyon if they’re in your faction, you are stronger, and you have enough caps/cash
-Fixes the focus Incorporate the Coalition to actually work as intended instead of always bypassing as soon as you are able to take it FIXED IN MAIN MOD
-Reworked focus "Second Rockies Offensive" to also work if a Boulder Accord member borders any of the required nations
-Reworked "Bear out of Hibernation" Focus: Now it can be taken if Lanius took the land and he went Eastern Legion, and gives you claims/wargoal for the territories of the Hangdogs, Maxon Expedition, and Scorpions
Tentative Changes:
– Reworked Coleridge Lit Fuse focuses to only take 20 days, and "Utilize the Radiophobians" to only 15. This only applies to focuses that reduce time to war – so not "Activate the 5th Engineering Company" or "Office of Military Advancement". Intended to better balance the two paths for war buildup, may remove or nerf if it turns out this is too strong
-Reduced focus time for Colorado Powderkeg war bonuses to 15 days. Considering the relative weakness of their bonuses, might as well make them quick.
Planned Features:
-Decision chain to gradually reduce the Steel Ranger Reorganization malus the better Power Armor and Special Forces tech you acquire
-More decisions to rebuild Colorado (and perhaps further) cities
-Decisions unlocked by the three end paths to expand on the form your government takes
-More development decisions (farms, ranches, mines, potentially ski resorts)
-Military Base flavor (it’s Colorado, we don’t got much else)
-Expanded New Mexico occupation choices and benefits
-Fleshed out NCR and Colorado paths
-Economic Imperialism (KIMBALL WOULD BE SO PROUD)
