Choose Your Leader – Never Truly Gone
Updated to version 1.3 of the mod, now with compatibility with Peace for our Time, compatibility with Kaiserreich, a new intro and an overall much needed improvement in code efficiency and a smaller overall mod size.
Welcome to "Choose Your Leader – Never Truly Gone", the looooooong awaited update for Choose Your Leader!
There are a lot of portraits in Hearts of Iron 4 but to get one of them to be your leader, you have to play for a long time and choose the right way accurately. Of course it is often fun to play but sometimes it can be too long and even exhausting. Not to mention all the portraits of the generals who can be leaders but there is no way to do that.
Well now there is! Have you ever thought what would happen if MacArthur was the Communist leader of America? Or any other American general? Or perhaps if Trotsky took power in Russia as a democrat?
If you have ever asked yourself these questions (although probably not…), this is the mod for you!
With a little click of a button, you can replace the leader of each country in Hearts of Iron 4 in every portrait that this country has and in any ideology you want!
Download the mod now and you will be able to replace any leader from any country with any other leader or general! You might even see some portraits you didn’t know existed in the game or find even some funny Easter Eggs that the developers of the game put in.
So enjoy the mod! I hope you’ll have as good of a time playing it as I had creating it!
Choose Your Leader is up to date with the current version of the game – 1.18. This new update includes the following:
1. All the portraits of the Peace for our Time DLC for Czechoslovakia, Slovakia and Ruthenia.
2. "Choose Your Leader – Never Truly Gone" is now compatible with Kaiserreich!
3. A new intro has been added at game start for those of you who are not reading this…
4. The entire code has been MASSIVELY improved in how it is written so that future updates could come out faster.
5. And of course, updated to current public version of the game, 1.18.
Incase the mod doesn’t work for you, do the following steps:
1. Unsubscribe and resubscribe to the mod. Perhaps the mod just failed to get uploaded properly to your device.
2. If that doesn’t work, you have to go to "File Explorer" on your device and delete the paradox interactive folder in documents. Go to This PC > Documents > Paradox Interactive > Hearts of Iron IV and save your save games and presets in a backup location on your device. then, either delete the Paradox Interactive file (or just the Hearts of Iron IV file) or move it away to another backup location. then, launch the game with the mod on. After that, the mod should work for you. Stop the game, and go back to where you moved away the file from. You will see a new file that was created when you launched the game. Move your previous file back from your backup location in here (if you deleted the file, go to your Trash Bin)
