Fascist Spain Rework

• This mod was made for 1.16.9, meaning you can play with it in a wide range of versions. However, it is preferable you stick with this version as this mod is very sensible to any update or other mod that changes this version’s in-game provinces.
• This mod is in its beta phase, this means that although you can play without expecting crashes, the code IS a bit messy as my experience with coding is very limited. Also, I barely added news events since it’s just a beta (I WILL ADD MORE I PROMISE).
• This mod, only available in english, was made by someone whose first language is NOT english, don’t ask me why. If you detect any spelling mistake, I’d be more than happy if you let me know so I can correct it.
• This mod is currently only available IN ENGLISH, trying to play in any other language will not end well. Perhaps I’ll translate it to spanish some day.
• This mod requires the La Résistance and By Blood Alone DLCs.
• This mod CAN be played with along other ones AS LONG AS the in-game states and provinces, the Spanish and English Focus Trees and all portraits remain untouched.
• It goes without saying that this mod is NOT Ironman Compatible.

Step into an alternate history where Spain rises from the ashes of civil war not as a fractured land, but as a reborn empire, disciplined, technocratic, and relentless. This mod expands the Spanish National Focus Tree with dozens of new branches, events, and decisions, offering a deeper and more immersive path for Nationalist Spain.
This mod adds:

• The possibility to revive the former Spanish Viceroyalties in a more… interesting way, as well as "Embracing Pan-Americanism".
• The possibility to restore and integrate all of Spain’s old holdings in Europe.
• The possiblity to wage war against every single nation with focuses directed at every single region in the world.
• The possiblity to pardon the Communist, Carlist and Anarquist factions, integrating their generals into your army ranks.
• The possiblity to set up Falangist Commissariat in every single region in the world, serving as additional aid to your cause.
• The possibility to compete with other major powers economically, spy and technology wise.
• Spanish war songs to sing while you flood France’s capital city with troops.
• Yes, General Tom the Cat featured in this mod is my beloved cat.

This whole project started as a joke — I just added my cat as a general in HOI4 and made some minor changes to Spain. Then someone bet me 16 bucks that if I ever published a mod, it would never hit the Steam Workshop frontpage. Mission accomplished. 🐱⚔️
Since release, this mod has somehow stayed on the frontpage and gathered way more attention than I ever expected. People keep sending me ideas, friend requests, and even project proposals. Honestly, I wasn’t prepared for the fame.
So here’s the deal: my goals are already fulfilled. I’ll keep this mod bug-free and casually updated (sometimes adding new generals or small features), but I don’t plan to expand it into a huge project.
Thanks a ton for all the unexpected love and support — this was supposed to be a silly bet, and it turned into a small community. Thank you guys.
