Maxima Belli is a total conversion mod that follows a alternate path through history but with many things still remaining very much the same.
WW1 still took place and WW2 is still currently brewing with the German Reich poised to take over all of Europe. Below you will find a general list of many of the main changes to the game as well as further down some interesting bits of information on some of the new countries as well as changed ones of old. With future updates, unique national focus trees will be added as well as unique events and additional manufacturers, generals and leaders.
—Note—
Any existing Major Country such as USA, UK or even France that has lost physical land territory in this mod still starts with the same amount of population, factories, resources and divisions so in essense shouldn’t be overly effected from a balance standpoint.

—Balance Changes—
(Generic Focus Tree) Updated and slightly buffed generic national focus tree that most notably does not force all minor countries to go fascist purely to have decent manpower. Fascist path still gives the most manpower but communist, democratic and neutral paths all have much more desirable traits and bonuses that still give some small degree of recruitable population. Totals are 7.5% for fascist, 4% for Communist and 3% for Neutral/Democratic paths.
(Naval Doctrines) Rebalanced Naval Combat with specific upgrades to the Fleet in Being and Trade Interdiction Naval Doctrines that helps break up some of the current multiplayer Meta of Light Cruisers/Carrier spam.
(Naval Ships) Base Stats on ships such as Heavy Cruisers, Battleships and Battlecruisers slightly improved, most notably AA attack on later model vessels to better represent the growing need to protect themselves from aeronautical attacks.
(Heavy Fighters) Heavy Fighters may now be used in the role of CAS. This makes them much more of adaptable but still not as effective as actual CAS or Fighters at doing the individual specialized tasks.

Work in Progress to be updated however here are some bullet points to get some idea of what is going on in the world.
-1700’s Arabian Caliphate was born by the Arab nations and territories putting differences aside to form a great empire and power in the middle east, no longer killing each other consistantly over petty differences of faith, beliefs or religion. Technology vastly improves, trade and infrastructure and the great nation comes into prosperity. Fought against the Ottomans in WW1 and gained more territory.
-Confederacy in 1864 works a deal with Mexico to offer land and new returned territories for their aid to help turn the tide of a losing civil war. 1868 the Union capitulates bringing the end to the American Civil War. -Native American Tribes constantly being relocated west and into further inhospitable parts of North America hear of how a people in a far away land called the Arab’s banded together to form a great nation. Inspired by this they work to do much the same with moderate success a great meeting is held in the city of Omaha Nebraska in the 1800’s just after the civil war ends. The purpose of the meeting is to end hostilities with the Mexicans and the Americans and get proper borders established. Alaska is purchased by the First Nations with dakota gold from Russia.
-Late 1800’s massive amounts of German migrants to Argentina causes the population of Germans their to increase massively. Hitler and the newly risen to power Nazi party has recently worked to establish a political power base of a new Nazi party formed inside the Argentine government.
