Ceasefire Mechanics

Adds ceasefire diplomacy to Hearts of Iron IV. Propose ceasefires mid-war, break them when it suits you, and let the AI do the same.

Features
  • Propose a ceasefire to any country you’re at war with
  • Break an active ceasefire and resume hostilities
  • Faction-aware — when a faction leader signs, the whole faction is bound
  • AI will propose and break ceasefires on its own
  • Configurable game rules set in the lobby
  • Submod API for scripting historical ceasefires

Game Rules
  • Break cooldown (30 / 60 / 90 / 180 days)
  • AI ceasefire sending & breaking (Allowed / Blocked)
  • Who can break ceasefires (Faction leaders only / After truce expires)
  • Truce duration multiplier (x1 / x2 / x3 / x4)
  • Territory on ceasefire (Transfer ownership / Escrow)
  • Ceasefire events (Enabled / Disabled)
