Ceasefire Mechanics
Adds ceasefire diplomacy to Hearts of Iron IV. Propose ceasefires mid-war, break them when it suits you, and let the AI do the same.
Features
- Propose a ceasefire to any country you’re at war with
- Break an active ceasefire and resume hostilities
- Faction-aware — when a faction leader signs, the whole faction is bound
- AI will propose and break ceasefires on its own
- Configurable game rules set in the lobby
- Submod API for scripting historical ceasefires
Game Rules
- Break cooldown (30 / 60 / 90 / 180 days)
- AI ceasefire sending & breaking (Allowed / Blocked)
- Who can break ceasefires (Faction leaders only / After truce expires)
- Truce duration multiplier (x1 / x2 / x3 / x4)
- Territory on ceasefire (Transfer ownership / Escrow)
- Ceasefire events (Enabled / Disabled)
