Taiwan Region Focus:

Taiwan is in the Japanese colonial period (i.e., Japanese occupation/Japanese rule) at the start of the game. You can try to break free from Japanese control peacefully or by force and take control of your own destiny. You can also remain within the Japanese colonial system and seek other developments.
I. Breaking Free from Colonialism
Attempt to break free from Japanese colonization.
Launching an independence war or peacefully demanding independence (which they may not agree to), you will have the option to support the War of Resistance against Japan in mainland China.
1. Austronesian Culture: Based on Austronesian inhabitants, seek the ideal of an Austronesian federation and attempt to liberate Austronesian compatriots from various colonizers.
2. Formosa: Cutting ties with Chinese culture, attempting to construct a modern Taiwanese nation-state concept, and taking unique measures to achieve this goal such as classifying Han Chinese as the rest of the population lol .
At the end of this route, you may have the opportunity to establish contact with Trotskyists in China mainland and undertake some astonishing military actions. For example, crossing the Taiwan Strait and liberating mainland China
3. Young China: Returning to the Chinese narrative and participating in postwar Chinese politics, choosing to support either side in the Chinese Civil War, becoming a special administrative region or the Nationalist government, this may trigger some hidden content, or choosing to form a new national regime and unify China.
II. Loyalists in the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere
1. Choose to guarantee the leadership of the Japanese-Americans in the regime and make sufficient preparations for the empire’s southward expansion strategy, taking over the occupied territories in Southeast Asia, and carrying out some unknown secret operations (this may be very cruel).
2. Choose to carry out localization reforms, appointing local pro-Japanese factions to control the regime, and the future of this new regime is still unknown.

Thoughts:
After the release of the new version DLC, Paradox Interactive updated the independent tag for Taiwan (i.e., FOR), which I found very interesting, so I created this mod. In this mod, the route choices for Taiwan are very diverse even a bit too outrageous, making it hard for me to keep up while writing it.
You can find some small Easter eggs or various interesting events in this mod, and meet some hidden characters, some of whom may not actually be from Taiwan.
Feedback is welcome!

Note: 1.This mod should not be considered as the author’s political viewpoint on Taiwan; it is solely for entertainment and play.
2.The word "Formosa" is Portuguese, meaning "beautiful." It was originally used as a common word to describe Taiwan as a beautiful island, and during the Portuguese and Dutch colonial periods, it came to be another name for Taiwan. However, the Chinese transliteration "福尔摩沙" (Fuermosha) carries a stronger colonial connotation. Therefore, in this module, it is translated as "Beautiful Island" rather than using the direct transliteration.
3.As I stated in the mod description, this mod does not represent any political stance. I simply used Paradox Interactive’s new tags to create various routes. I oppose Japanese aggression and colonialism, and I still created a route for Japan’s satellite states, but added descriptions of Japan’s bacteriological warfare crimes during World War II. For the other routes, I did not add any personal commentary. All routes in this mod are purely for gameplay purposes. I hope players will rate and comment on the mod based on its gameplay.
