Reichskommissariat Moskowien has come all too familiar with the grim reality that it finds itself in, isolated from even its closest ally in Germania as the black sheep of the eastern colonies. There is no home for this artificial state of torture, not even among its fellow slaves. The colony’s only light – Siegfried Kasche, The hellhole’s Reichskommissar is hardly the man he once was, wearing down to his last bastions of sanity, finding himself swirling in a hurricane of suffocating vengefulness, with his only escape being in the form of retreating from the depressive bureaucracy of the slave state, and into its many back chambers. A Reichskommissar cowered by his own Untermensch. A king at the mercy of his subjects.

Whatever the Destiny of Moskowien shall be in the ever-closer future, Muscovy will never be the same again, less it be lost forever in the never-ending winter that has fallen upon the east.

TNO Requiem: Real of Ash sets out to realize this vision, and turn it into reality, with content for Reichskommissariat Moskowien from 1962 to the dissolution, and with content for Mikhail Gorbachev’s Council of the Russian Republic from 1963 to beyond.

FAQ

"Why is Oktan present in Moskowien and not Sarama?"

Ultimately i made the decision to put Oktan in Moskowien over samara simply because I believe he is better fitted in Moskowien due to the fact hes a German collaborator, another reason is due to the fact that I think base TNO’s adaption of him is better then TNOR Samara’s adaption of him – being a naturalised national socialist and all. Artsezo is known for only valuing money, Oktan is actually a national socialist.

"What will happen to Samara then since Oktan is not there anymore?"

Initially, i was hoping Oktan could still be tied into Samara as Oktan flees Moskowien into Samara they the dissolution happens, but considering the player gets the choice of Vlasov’s succssor earlier then the dissolution, Sarama’s starting content would have to be partially reworked for that to happen, and while im not totally against that, it is definitely not the priority, so Samara will most likely either follow base TNO’s method of replacing Oktan in Samara with Artsezo, or just make Samara unplayable for the demo until their starting content is partially reworked.

"Who will get content post dissolution?"

Gorbachev’s Council of Russian Republic is our #1 priority at the moment, however, I would be open to expanding the team to enable some dissolution content such as war focus trees and a small epilogue / post war focus tree for the major warlords, most likely being SPG "Winners" and Notfallverwaltung Paulusburg – although they will never get the same amount of content as Gorbachev.

"Is Moskowien’s lore different to TNO Requiem’s?"

All and all, not really. There are some minor changes in the dissolution that have yet to be revealed to the public, but the general lore discussed in this submod is designed to fit around TNO Requiem’s, with the only real difference being the inclusion of Mikhail Oktan in Moskowien rather then Samara.

"How will the peace deal work between Gorbachev’s Muscovy and Germany?"

If the player is able to hold off Germany for long enough, Muscovy will be forced back into the Einheitspakt but under far more lenient terms and mostly independent, I wont reveal all the terms at this point, but Speer’s story will continue uninterrupted and any interruptions will just be changed so the gameplay flows smoothly. Its also important to note this peace deal is only possible if the Fuhrer is speer, otherwise Muscovy will be reconquered eventually.

As for the cause for Russian unification, Muscovy would be banned from expanding eastwards in the treaty, with their unification effort beginning in joining the 1971 Smuta with the slave revolt distracting the Einheitspakt and shielding Muscovy from the Reich, enabling them to destroy the treaty and leave the Einheitspakt.
