Victorianization
Victorianization revolutionizes the graphical appearance of the old Hearts of Iron IV map to more ressemble and imitate Victoria II’s map. If you’re looking for a more rustic or, frankly, generally more aesthetically pleasing map to paint on, then this mod is for you! Refer to the above images to see the overall look and determine if it’s for you! Thank you to all who give this mod a look!
Compatibility Note:
Any mods which do the following are ABSOLUTELY incompatible with this mod and will probably break the game if attempted to be played together unless listed below with the appropriate compatibility patch:
- Change any of files in the "gfx" and "map" folders relating to the overall map of game
- Change a multitude of files in the "states" folder found in the "history" folder
- Change and replace the "00_graphics.lua" base file in the "defines" folder found in the "common" folder (mods which edit this file but don’t replace it are fine)
Mods currently compatible with patches (links attached in the names):
- The Road to 56
- Kaiserreich
- KaiserreduX
- The Great War Redux
- Equestria at War
**NOTE**: If a mod in which a patch is made for is, in itself, out of date, the corresponding patch will also be out of date until the parent mod is updated (not something I can control unfortunately). Existing patches will be updated as soon as possible once the parent mods are updated accordingly.
This mod is NOT achievement compatible and, thus, if playing for achievements, must be deactivated for the duration. This also means that this mod changes the checksum (for the purposes of multiplayer, that would mean all players would need this mod).
Languages this mod supports are as follows:
- English
- Portuguese/Brazilian
- German
- French
- Spanish
- Polish
- Russian
- Chinese [Although, by default, this mod supports Chinese, the link attached offers a much more appropriate and aesthetically pleasing font option for the map’s nation’s names. Read the description of the linked mod for more information if also using total conversion mods]
While this mod does technically support Japanese and Korean, it uses the default fonts provided in the game for the map fonts for those respective languages (and will therefore stand out). There are plans to add independent fonts for these languages in the future though.
