Civilian Casualties
World War II claimed an estimated 70–85 million lives — the majority of them civilians. This mod tracks that human cost in real time, nation by nation, directly in your Decisions menu.

- 8 tracked death sources — occupation policies, partisan reprisals, conscription famine, war famine, expulsions, combat zone casualties, strategic bombing and nuclear strikes
- Historically calibrated — every rate is grounded in real WWII data, from the Warthegau expulsions to the Soviet home-front famine
- Ideology matters — fascist and communist regimes inflict and tolerate far heavier losses than democracies
- Wartime Toll — 8 escalating national spirits as your population losses mount (2% → 50%+), scaled by regime resilience
- Demographic Crisis — peace doesn’t end the suffering: up to 12 years of economic penalties scale with what your nation lost
- Preserved the Nation — end a war with minimal losses without capitulating and earn a lasting reward
- Emergency War Relief — spend 200 PP + 20 CP to ease the crisis, once per war
- World Statistics — live global death toll, civilian and military, with a breakdown of the great powers, each marked with its national flag
- 9 game rules — every single mechanic can be toggled off before you start

Everything lives in the War Losses decision category. Hover the decisions for a full breakdown of the losses you suffered — and the losses you caused. Population is genuinely removed from states: harsher occupation laws, deeper resistance and longer wars all mean a heavier toll.

Pairs perfectly with Execute Captured Generals — interrogate and execute enemy commanders you capture in battle. When both mods are active, executed generals automatically count toward your military losses and "caused" statistics. Fully optional — both mods work on their own.
Load order: keep Civilian Casualties above Execute Captured Generals in your playset.

- Disables achievements, like any mod that changes game files
- Incompatible with mods that also change occupation laws.
- New campaign recommended: works mid-save, but global statistics only accumulate from activation
