Historical Fix: Peter Fraser as Prime Minister of New Zealand
When starting the game in the year 1936, New Zealand keeps Prime Minister Michael Joseph Savage in office for all eternity. This ignores his actual death in March 1940.
This mod addresses the issue of Savage’s immortality by introducing a small event that fires in March 1939 that replaces Savage by his successor Peter Fraser. The event will fire if New Zealand is democratic and has Savage as a leader in the first place. This means it will not affect players of the 1939 scenario. Fraser’s portrait is already in game, so it is a waste that players of the most common scenario never actually get to see it.
